What is studded tube ?
The studded tube is one type of finned tube,this fins are manufactured by essential a studs or rod welded at base to the tube by Electrical Resistance Process.
studded tubes are also known as nail-shaped ribbed tubes. In the petrochemical industry, nailhead tubes have a fairly widespread application. In particular, in the convection chamber of a tube furnace, the heat transfer elements often use nailhead tubes to enhance the heat exchange on the outside of the tubes. Nailhead tubes can improve the heat transfer coefficient on the gas side, and the nailhead tube area is 2-3 times that of the smooth tube. Due to the use of nailhead tubes, it is possible to achieve the same heat intensity as radiation in a reasonable design。
